I am a 30-something freelance journalist in the great state of Texas. I am married and I have no kids and only one travel loving dog – hooray for freedom!

Life is good. I love to travel, cook, sewand generally enjoy life with my husband. At home we are on a constant quest to be more environmentally thoughtful and budget conscious. The combination of those two things is what I plan to write about here, though I’m sure the occasional off topic post will show up.
